The jury is made up of some 30 personalities who hold various expertise in the health promotion and agribusiness sectors (a jury composed of a minimum of 8 people per category). The chairman of each jury has the right to seek the opinion of experts to clarify or specify technical concepts essential and critical for the proper understanding of the project presented to the jury.

Professional in nutrition as well as marketing specialist of food innovation, Isabelle Marquis has a unique multidisciplinary expertise acquired both as a consulting agency and food processing company. An outstanding communicator and strategist with many tools, she has successfully piloted several large-scale projects with a wide variety of companies, from SMEs to multinationals. Now a consultant, Ms. Marquis assists Quebec and Canada’s food companies in communication, marketing and innovation strategies. She is also a contributor to specialized magazines and tv show L’Épicerie on Ici Radio-Canada Télé.

Anne Fortin

Owner of the Gourmande bookstore

Linguist, ethnologist by training and holder of a master’s in management, Anne Fortin disseminates the history and culinary culture of Quebec through her gourmet bookstore which she has owned for 15 years. Anxious to assume the diffusion of our culinary history, Anne Fortin is also a speaker and has published books on the subject for which she won numerous prizes. In 2016, she also created the Conservatoire culinaire du Québec at l’École des Métiers de la Restauration de Montréal (CSDM).

Caroline Fortin

Vice-president of Groupe Québec Amérique

Caroline Fortin is vice-president of Groupe Québec Amérique. Based in Montreal, this dynamic company brings together Éditions Québec Amérique, QA International, Éditions Cardinal, les cafés littéraires Chez l’Éditeur, and one of the largest distributors of French-language books in Canada, Diffusion Dimedia. Caroline has more than 30 years of experience in the family business founded by her father, Jacques Fortin, in 1974. Over the years, she has acquired expertise in a multitude of fields, from production to editorial development, through art direction, marketing and international business development. In addition to managing Groupe Québec Amérique, Caroline is also the President of Canada FBM2020, the non-profit organization responsible for delivering the major components of the guest of honor program in Frankfurt 2020.

Samar Gharib

Manager, Graphic and Multimedia Communications & Interim Manager, Corporate & Web Communications

Samar Gharib has more than 20 years’ experience in advertising. She has worked for a variety of advertising agencies, including Saatchi & Saatchi as Art Director, before joining La Coop fédérée in 2008.

Ms. Gharib has successfully piloted several large-scale projects within La Coop fédérée. She has been very engaged in positioning the organization in recent years. Her participative management style stands out due to her leadership and ability to influence.

Samar Gharib holds a degree in graphic art and advertising from USEK University in Lebanon, a certificate in web design from Concordia University, and a certificate in administration from HEC Montréal.
