During the holidays, with an over-abundance of calorie dense meals, and seasonal snacks and 'nibblies', I usually put aside a day for a modified 'fast', with lots of warm, non-caffeinated drinks, soda water with lemon, and the occasional apple or orange, if I begin to feel irritable. I also take some quiet time for myself, taking leisurely walks.This helps me be more 'mindful' of my normal eating habits, and relieves some of the stresses of this time of year.
